Shipping Policy

DELIVERY  

Our domestic/Ireland shipping charge is £3.95 for orders under £100. Delivery is FREE on all UK and Ireland orders over £100 in value.  

We deliver worldwide - our International Delivery Charge is between £10.99 and £24.99 - dependant on your location - and is calculated at checkout. All International deliveries are sent via a tracked service.

Each product description will state which warehouse the item ships from and an estimated delivery timescale.  Delays are rare but they do happen occasionally. The table below is a guide.

IMPORTANT PLEASE READ: Everything is sent via a tracked/signed for service and tracking numbers will be forwarded to you at point of fulfilment.  Although, your order is marked as fulfilled once it leaves the warehouse;  if it is coming from outside of the UK; your tracking number will only activate once the parcel arrives at Customs and is handed over to the ground agent.  You can email hello@alateofficial.com if you need an update whilst your order is in transit.

* busy periods typically include the run up to Christmas and also Chinese New Year when our warehouses close for 7-10 days.

CHINA SUPPLIERS

We carefully select suppliers in China who we can see have very high wholesale performance on both quality and delivery times.  

Typically, China warehouse orders take 7-10 days to be fulfilled and be allocated onto a freight flight. From here, it takes 48-72 hours for the parcel to reach the UK/Clear Customs and then a further 3-5 days for the ground agent to deliver it.  During busy periods, this will change and is reflected in the table above.

We do monitor our China suppliers rigorously and use only those whom we know process and ship quickly and offer products that match the samples we're provided with.  If a supplier falls below our standard for whatever reason; we remove them immediately.

VAT AND IMPORT DUTIES (UK DELIVERIES)

Where products are being supplied outside of our domestic warehouses, we always fulfil items so that any UK import charges or VAT is settled beforehand.  However, on occasion, customs processing errors cause charges to be incurred.  If you have to pay any additional fees to have your order delivered to the UK; simply email us proof of payment/receipt and we will refund you without question.

For customers outside of the UK, international orders may incur tax and import duties when they arrive in your country. It is your responsibility to pay for these; so please calculate what this might be before placing your order.  If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to get in touch.

 

WHAT IF MY ITEM DOESN'T ARRIVE WITHIN THE NORMAL TIMESCALE?

Firstly, contact us via email (hello@alateofficial.com) or live chat and let us know you haven't received your order. Our customer services team can then check progress of your order and assist you where possible.  

If your item doesn't arrive within 60 days of ordering, we will automatically refund you for your purchase, via the method with which you paid. Please allow 7-10 days for your refund to process.  If your item arrives with you after this time, we will send you a free returns label.  If you still wish to keep it, we will contact you to arrange payment. 

MISSED DELIVERIES

Once your item is fulfilled and tracking information issued;  it's your responsibility to follow its progress, so that you're aware of when the agent intends to deliver it to you. Once items have left our warehouse/s, we do not track individual deliveries.  Ninety per cent of our deliveries are handled by Royal Mail. If you wish to change delivery, you can visit their website and enter your tracking number to change the date for a more convenient one; or to collect from your local delivery office.  If you're not sure who is the ground agent for your parcel;  please contact us and we'll be happy to advise you.

If the delivering agent misses you, they will normally leave a card.  Items are usually held for up to 14 days, giving you plenty of time to collect or re-arrange delivery.  If you fail to do this, the parcel will be returned to us and you will need to pay a fee to have it re-delivered.  Please note that we cannot issue refunds on items with a failed delivery and that do not make it back to our office.
